Greetings all! My name is Scott and I am the creator and root admin of Lost Hunters Sanctum. My old board name was Bovine13 from the old Lair days. You may also recognize a few others as some founding members are using their established names. This board was never meant to compete with, discredit, or take away from any other Predator related sites or forums. That is not what this forum is about. This is just simply another place for the fandom to come and get their Predator fix. We the Lost Hunters have put a lot of time into this hobby, ran together at many conventions as you may have seen on Youtube, and have done countless projects together. We care a lot about the franchise, the hobby, and we hope you all share the same passion. I hope you enjoy your stay here and I look forward to reconnecting with old hunters and meeting new ones. I am very excited for the future and I look forward to watching what everyone creates here. Cheers!

Hey guys, I'm looking forward to reconnecting with old friends as well as making new ones. I've been working on this sculpt for what feels like forever. It's based on Narin's 1/6th scale kit. I'm happy to say it's finished and waiting to be molded when time allows. Here are some pics of the journey. I hope you guys like it.

I am excited, energized and glad to be surrounded by an extremely talented group of people, whom obsess over Predator as much as I do... and don't think it weird! To explain fully who I am, I think it fitting to begin anew, here in this place, with my origin into this hobby. Back in 1999-2000, a high school kid browsing the early days of the internet, searching for Predator Costumes after watching the movie for the millionth time and thinking - That would is the ultimate halloween costume. My search led me to find Peter Murphy, also a young kid at the time. Younger than me, by a few years at least. He had generated a website for himself of his sculpting work. He went by the alias Crazy Clayer. Hugely talented, and on his site was a picture of his oil clay sculpture ,of the Original Predator head. Mandibles, quills, teeth - I was blown away!!! Never in my young mind did I think that it was a simple as shaping clay to create a monster. I had to know the details of the process, I first began bugging him about the process, What types of Clay? How to shape it? Where to get it? - Every dumb newbie question! He was gracious, helpful and eventually pointed me towards The Hunter's Lair. I had already sculpted my first Predator head by the time I found The Lair. But when I found The Lair, I knew I had made it. THIS WAS THE PLACE! It was small back then, I remember thinking there weren't many members. Those who were, contributed greatly and openly. It is my hope that this place begins anew, as it was for me 16 years ago... a young kid excited to get started. What a journey Chapter 1 has been, I can't wait to turn the page! That is, users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or colored text, etc. Similarly users should not SHOUT or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts. Users consistently abusing this will be warned. 3. Be respectful to other users of the page. Attacks, direct or indirect, personnel or otherwise, will not be tolerated. Spamming the forum, posting adverts for unrelated subjects, websites, services, self promotion, posting one word replies, or posting multiple identical threads in different sections is unacceptable. Here are my suit builds from many moons ago to a couple years ago; my thanks go out to everyone for their inspiration; I could not have done it without y'all.. OniHunter, HurleyFX, AndrewM, Meangene83, Biohunter76, ptgreek, all y'all First suit, the armor and bio (new one shown) were/are all leather from hand made patterns. In this picture is the painted resin bio with undermask, and fabricpainted bodysuit; the original suit didn't have a bodysuit to it or Pred hands or feet... Second suit; by this time I had the mask, hands and feet, and I bought the armor and repainted all but the bio. I painted the feet and hands and added the leather front and back pieces, plus reinforced under the torso armor with thin leather. Its the heavy armor for the tough Hunts Third suit, here the armor underpinnings is leather from hand made patterns; I bought raw latex overlays and painted them up and attached them. The bio came painted red & gold, and was the genesis of the color scheme. Fourth suit; I bought the painted armor and added the leather details and torso armor lining. I think the bio was primed, and I painted to match the existing armor colors. Fifth suit, the leather underpinnings are from the same patterns as the red & gold one; I sculpted, molded & painted all the latex overlays. Sixth suit, done for a friend; the head came complete and the armor patterns were the same as suit #5 except for size; latex overlays came from #5's molds. I painted the hands and bodysuit. They borrowed my feet for that event and I painted a set for them to use later.

Welcome all! We built this place for all the lost, scattered, and wandering members of the PREDATOR hobby and fandom. Many of us withdrew from this world because of a difference of opinion, life for many changed, new roads taken, and other reasons too many to list. Small groups of us stayed in contact over the years through various ways and means but, the same recurring conversation was happening. We missed the good old days! We missed the old days of community, comradery, and friendship. Many of us never found the same elsewhere. This place is special to us Lost Hunters. This place is about community, comradery, friendship, and inspiring each others creativity. We strive to motivate and support each other in our projects and in life. The combined years of experience and wealth of knowledge can not be measured. Many of our founding members are industry pros working in the fields of props and special effects daily and are a valuable resource to this community. But, what favors that is the community we have created over the years. The Lost hunters have been supporting, motivating, and harassing each other for over 10 years and, will continue to do so. We are a tight, well knit, and productive community. The Lost Hunters hope you will be a valuable addition to this place and community. We run a tight mothership here...we are strict but fair. We are adults and we treat each other as such. Respect is earned not given and we expect you to show the Sanctum, and its members the respect they have earned...and we will in turn show you the same. So...through random and unexpected events... a spark flickered, it was seen and felt by many...creativity started to flow...the fires were lit, and the Sanctum was founded. The horns have been sounded and the beacon is lit...all those that find these halls are welcome! We are the Lost Hunters! Welcome, to Lost Hunters Sanctum. Wander no more...

So it seems the costume bug had well and truly bitten in my home. Everyone bar my wife are now in on it. One of the latest pieces that is being worked on is an iron man costume for.my 12 year daughter. It's a foam build and so far so good. I can't take credit for that actual construction, but we have been modding it to fit her. She decided she wanted it rough and battle damaged so.that's what she's going to get she also asked for it to be a different colour and we've settled on black silver and gold. There are electronics in the chest and helmet and we are now looking at putting them into the hands. Pic below is of here full test fit. Only realised after the ab section was on the wrong way round. We're at prep stage with this , sanding seems etc and hope to start paint on it very soon.

I would like to thank all who came into the chat room tonight for the first Sanctum chatfest. The chat room held up great. It was great to see everyone in there and talking like the old days. It was really good to see all the old timers and some new people all together in one place again. We will try and do a regular chat meet up so, details to follow on that. I thank you all for the support you have shown myself and the site. It has already surpassed my expectations. The true reward for me is seeing and reading all the positive things you all have said about this place and all the old crew reconnecting. I am truly stoked about the future of the Sanctum. Cheers to you all!

Whats going on everyone!? Good to have a new home here.. Now to get some of my past projects from the basement brushed off and finished. It has been way to long. Got to get my bio skills back into shape. Some of the older members remember me, will get to know a lot of the new guys and gals I've been seeing around. I've been around since the Ezboard days, crazy long time. Still go by the IceMan though haha! Good to see a lot of the older faces again...
